Chery QQ Set to Launch in Indonesia, Check Out the Specification Teasers
PT Chery Motor Indonesia has signalled the arrival of a new model in the country through a post on its official Instagram account on Monday (4/5/2026). The post shows a silhouette of a car with the text “Spacious, Complete. Built for City Life. Happiness is on the way, stay tuned” (Spacious, complete. Built for urban life. Happiness is on the way, stay tuned). Interestingly, upon closer inspection, the design of the front headlights in the silhouette resembles the shape of the latest generation Chery QQ model. In recent years, Chery has revived the QQ name through various urban electric cars. In 2026, the manufacturer from Wuhu introduced the Chery QQ3 EV as the latest generation, with a four-door hatchback concept for urban mobility. Referring to global specifications, the Chery QQ3 EV features a more modern design, marked by oval-shaped front and rear headlights, semi-hidden door handles, and compact dimensions with a length of around 4.2 metres. Inside, the car is equipped with a large 15.6-inch floating touchscreen, a digital instrument panel, and an infotainment system supported by the Snapdragon 8155 chip and an AI-based voice assistant. In terms of performance, the QQ3 EV is available in two electric motor options: 58 kW (78 hp) and a more powerful 90 kW (121 hp) version that drives the rear wheels. For the power source, there are two LFP battery options with capacities of 29.5 kWh and 41.3 kWh. If it truly launches in Indonesia, the QQ3 EV will enter the compact electric hatchback segment, which is starting to become crowded, and has the potential to become a new option for consumers seeking environmentally friendly vehicles for daily urban use.
