JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Central Jakarta District Court (PN Jakpus) has granted the request for the execution of Block 15 in the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area, where the Sultan Hotel is located in Central Jakarta.

The legal representative for the Minister of State Secretariat and the Gelora Bung Karno Complex Management Centre (PPKGBK), Kharis Sucipto, stated that the determination for the implementation of the eviction execution for Block 15 was issued on Thursday (30/04/2026) by the Chief Judge of the Central Jakarta District Court, Dr. Husnul Khotimah, S.H.

With this determination now in place, the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) has full legitimacy to promptly carry out the execution in accordance with the Central Jakarta District Court’s Civil Court Decision No. 208/Pdt.G/2025/PN Jkt.Pst, aimed at safeguarding state assets.

Kharis emphasised that the government’s legal position is now very strong and is not affected by other administrative legal efforts.

The execution process will be carried out soon after coordination with all relevant parties.

All procedures or stages of the execution, from aanmaning to constatering, have been duly completed, leaving only the realisation of the actual execution of Block 15.

Meanwhile, the Director General of PPKGBK, Rakhmadi Afif Kusumo, provided a statement emphasising the smooth transition process while upholding humanitarian values.

He assured that operations in the Block 15 area will be managed with high professionalism under state management.

“We will carry out the eviction execution process by considering all aspects, including the continuity of the fate of employees and vendors who have depended on Block 15 for their livelihood,” he said.

Furthermore, Rakhmadi explained that the state is present not to shut down businesses, but to reorganise this asset so that its benefits can be felt inclusively by the public in accordance with the constitutional mandate.

The government, through PPKGBK, is committed to restoring Block 15 as a green, modern, well-organised, productive public area that is more integrated with transportation access and provides optimal benefits for all of society, while also recovering the state’s rights over royalty arrears that have remained unpaid for decades.

The company owned by Pontjo Sutowo, PT Indobuildco, has requested a guarantee payment if asked to vacate the Sultan Hotel in the GBK area.
