Central Jakarta District Court Conducts Survey of Hotel Sultan, PPKGBK Affirms State Asset Status
The legal counsel for PPKGBK, Chandra Hamzah, commended the Central Jakarta District Court (PN Jakarta Pusat) for conducting the land survey of Hotel Sultan today. According to him, this aligns with the determination by the PN Jakarta Pusat’s Chief Judge for verification of the asset to be executed.
“And Central Jakarta District Court, our appreciation on behalf of the State Secretariat Ministry and PPKGBK, the Court Chief has issued a determination to conduct a survey in the framework of execution,” Chandra said to journalists during the survey at Hotel Sultan on Monday, 16 March 2026.
Chandra expressed hope that this long-running dispute case would be resolved soon. He was confident that the measurement process and its outcome would proceed quickly.
“We’ll just wait and see, hopefully this finishes quickly. This should take just a day or two for the measurement to be completed,” he explained.
Subsequently, Chandra mentioned that in the land dispute, there remain objections. However, according to him, the PN’s ruling is final and immediately enforceable.
“Yes, there are four objections registered at the Central Jakarta District Court. There are from apartment residents and various others. However, the ruling from Central Jakarta District Court is immediately enforceable, Uitvoerbaar bij Voorraad,” he explained.
“So it can be executed even if there are further legal remedies such as appeals, cassation, or objections. So it can still proceed,” he added.
Subsequently, PPKGBK Director General Rakhmadi Afif Kusumo stated that his party is confident that the Hotel Sultan land dispute case is settled. He stated that the land is state-owned property.
“So in our view, we maintain that this is already settled in terms of it being BMN (state-owned assets), everyone. Where this property has become state property,” said Rakhmadi.
“Our spirit from the direction of the leadership of the State Secretariat Ministry is certainly how to secure and optimise these state-owned assets. Of course, whatever objections arise, I believe the legal counsel will address them later,” he added.
