C+C Music Factory in Jakarta

JAKARTA (JP): The American group C+C Music Factory, winner of five American Music Awards and five Billboard awards, will rock their fans at Senayan's indoor tennis stadium in South Jakarta tomorrow night.

The group is known here for its hits Here We Go, Let's Rock and Roll and Things That Make You Go hmmmm..., both from its first album Gonna Make You Sweat. The Indonesian tour, which will take C+C to several cities, including an appearance in Denpasar, Bali, on April 15, is sponsored by A Mild cigarettes.

"C+C" stands for David Cole and Robert Clivilles, the group's engines. The two Cs made their debut in the music world in 1987 as producers and composers for many of the world's best singers, including Mariah Carey; Whitney Houston; Natalie Cole; Luther Vandross; and Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam.

In 1991 they founded a new music group with vocalist Martha Wash and choreographers Zelma Davis and Freedom William.

During C+C's first visit to Indonesia, the group is scheduled to perform hits from its first album as well as new songs from its second album, such as Bounce to the Beat, Do You Wanna Get Funky, I Found Love and others. (als)
