JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Indonesian FinTech Association for Collective Financing (AFPI) says the trend in distributing online lending financing (pindar) has continued to rise during Ramadan. AFPI Public Relations Head Kuseryansyah said the increase in financing disbursement came from both consumer and productive financing. ‘During Ramadan there is an uptick because many UMKM need to buy raw materials due to higher sales,’ he said at the ‘Pindar Industry Research Briefing and Breaking Fast with the Media’ event on Wednesday, 4 March 2026. He added that on the consumer side there are also needs related to Eid al-Fitr, such as buying transport tickets for homeward travel. ‘If you buy tickets now the price may still be normal; if you leave it until late, when the THR arrives prices could be higher,’ he said.

Overall, he revealed that pindar financing disbursement during Ramadan has consistently increased year after year. ‘At my platform there was about a 15 percent increase, but that is on one platform and does not represent the industry,’ he said. ‘That is normal, really, because they need liquidity quickly for buying tickets or other needs,’ he added. Eko explained that when consumption rises, loan trends typically rise as well, including in banking and non-bank financial institutions. ‘Usually both experience a harvest season in this context as we approach Eid,’ he closed.

In December 2025, pindar financing grew by 25.44 percent year-on-year, to Rp 98.54 trillion. Meanwhile, the aggregate credit risk default rate (TWP90) remained at 4.38 percent. In December 2025, the level of problematic credit stood at 4.32 percent.
