Jakarta, VIVA – Indonesia’s capital market has launched the disbursement of Rp 3.95 billion in corporate social responsibility funds through the programme “Pasar Modal Peduli: Berbagi Manfaat, Menguatkan Harapan” (Capital Market Cares: Sharing Benefits, Strengthening Hope), aimed at supporting post-disaster social and infrastructure recovery in the provinces of Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Corporate Secretary Kautsar Primadi Nurahmad explained that the funds were handed over to three designated partner organisations: Sahabat Pedalaman, BenihBaik.com, and Wahid Foundation.

He said the initiative represents a cross-stakeholder collaboration within Indonesia’s capital market, delivering measurable and sustainable social impact as the month of Ramadan begins.

“The programme focuses on the repair of vital infrastructure that directly affects community economic and social activities, such as inter-regional connectivity, access to clean water, sanitation facilities, places of worship, and education,” Kautsar said in a statement on Monday, 23 February 2026.

The Pasar Modal Peduli programme involves capital market self-regulatory organisations (SROs), comprising PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (IDX), PT Kliring Penjaminan Efek Indonesia (KPEI), and PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI), as well as listed companies, exchange members, and other capital market participants.

“This initiative is designed as a collaborative platform to ensure that the growth and sustainability of the capital market go hand in hand with social contributions,” he said.

Kautsar added that the programme is being implemented through a division of roles with partner organisations. Together with Wahid Foundation, the capital market supports the recovery of worship and educational infrastructure through the reactivation of mosques, meunasah (traditional Acehnese prayer halls), and dayah (Islamic boarding schools) in the Aceh region.

With BenihBaik.com, the programme focuses on the construction of boreholes, communal sanitation facilities, and educational infrastructure to ensure access to clean water and adequate learning facilities for affected communities.

Meanwhile, the collaboration with Sahabat Pedalaman is directed towards the construction of bridges, boreholes, and sanitation facilities to restore regional connectivity and improve environmental health standards.

Kautsar added that the collective involvement of capital market participants in this programme reflects the role of the capital market not merely as an instrument of economic growth, but also as part of an ecosystem that bears social responsibility amid economic dynamics and social challenges.
