Caltex names new local president

JAKARTA: PT Caltex Pacific Indonesia (CPI) has chosen Wahyudin Yudiana as the new president to replace Humayunbosha who headed up the firm since 2000 and will retire on May 1.

Wahyudin, now senior vice president, joined CPI in 1975 in the information technology department in Rumbai, Sumatra after graduating from the Bandung Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering in 1975, the company said in a statement.

He progressed through numerous positions in the firm, including an international work assignment with parent company ChevronTexaco, before assuming his current position in January 2000.

Riau-based CPI, which accounts for more 40 percent the country's oil output, has been operating in Indonesia for over 70 years.

Aside from oil, ChevronTexaco also produces power through its subsidiary Amoseas Indonesia Inc., which operates the 145- megawatt geothermal power plant in Drajat, West Java. -- JP
