Cak Imin Visits the Funeral Home of Kompas TV Employee Nur Ainia, Ensures Victim's Rights Are Fulfilled
Bekasi, Kompas.com - Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar, or Cak Imin, visited the funeral home of Nur Ainia Eka Rahmadhynna (32) in Griya Asri 2 Housing Complex, Sumberjaya Village, Tambun Selatan Subdistrict, Bekasi Regency, on Thursday (30/4/2026).
It is known that Nur Ainia, or Ain, was a Kompas TV employee who died in an accident involving the KA Argo Bromo Anggrek train and the Jakarta-Cikarang KRL at Bekasi Timur Station.
In the presence of Cak Imin, the victim’s father, Hary Marwata, described Ain as the eldest child who was the pride of the family.
He said that Ain had consistent academic achievements from school until she built her career in the media world.
“Basically, she was already recruited by Kompas TV before graduating. Indeed, from a young age, her passion was in the field of communication, and she entered university without an entrance test because her achievements were known since graduating from vocational high school,” he said.
For 11 years working at Kompas TV, Ain was known as a hardworking employee who commuted daily using the KRL.
Usually, she travelled from the Tambun area to her workplace in Palmerah, Central Jakarta. Her mobility was often assisted by her younger sibling who dropped her off and picked her up.
“Usually, her sibling did the dropping off and picking up. If she started at 03:00 in the morning, there was also a pick-up from the office for the morning broadcast,” said Hary.
That routine became part of Ain’s daily life until it was abruptly ended by an unexpected tragedy.
“I and the extended family of the Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment convey our deepest condolences to Mr Hary and his family. We pray that those left behind are granted patience, and that Ain is granted a good end,” he said.
He also emphasised that the government, together with several parties, has channelled the victim’s rights as part of social protection.
“Together with the Director of BPJS Employment, we are providing her rights (Ain’s). This is proof that social protection is running well,” he said.
Muhaimin added that this incident serves as an important lesson for all parties to enhance public transportation safety.
“The most important thing is that all forms of social protection must be present. The Ministry of Social Affairs, BPJS, local government must pay attention to the victim’s family,” he said.
“This becomes an important lesson for the commitment to public transportation and public discipline. This must not happen again,” he said.
