BYD Introduces Denza Z9 GT with World's Longest Electric Range
Jakarta (ANTARA) — BYD has announced that the latest version of its Denza Z9 GT pure electric vehicle has become the battery electric vehicle (BEV) with the longest driving range in the world.
According to Carnewschina on Friday local time, the latest Denza Z9 GT features a range of up to 1,036 kilometres based on the CLTC testing cycle when using the 122,496 kWh Blade battery pack, placing it at the top of the pure electric vehicle category in terms of driving range.
Although BYD previously noted that another Denza Z9 model achieved CLTC range of up to 1,068 kilometres, the company chose to position the Z9 GT as the longest range in the pure electric vehicle class.
For the BEV variant, the Denza Z9 GT is offered in rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations, with two battery capacity options: 102.33 kWh and 122.496 kWh.
Five CLTC range options are available, including 820 km, 860 km, 880 km, 1,002 km, and 1,036 km.
For the PHEV version, the vehicle is equipped with a 63.82 kWh battery pack, nearly double that of the previous model, enabling a pure electric range of approximately 400 kilometres based on the CLTC cycle.
The PHEV system power comprises a 2.0T engine and three electric motors with combined output of 640 kW (858 horsepower) and a maximum speed of 230 km/h.
The interior features a cabin with a symmetrical layout that is maintained, equipped with a 17.3-inch (43.9 cm) central control screen and two 13.2-inch (33.5 cm) 2.5K screens supporting ten-screen linkage and voice recognition, powered by the DiLink 4 nm chip in the smart cockpit.
For advanced driving assistance systems, the latest Denza Z9 GT comes standard with BYD’s DiPilot 300 “God’s Eye” B 5.0.
