Business Confidence in Indonesia Remains Very High, Says Investment Minister Rosan
Jakarta - Investment and Downstream Industries Minister/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani has claimed that business confidence in Indonesia remains very high. Rosan said that both domestic and foreign investors continue to demonstrate strong trust in investing in Indonesia.
"I wish to convey that the confidence of the business community, both domestic and foreign, in Indonesia is very well maintained," Rosan said at the Indonesia AI Day event in Jakarta on Thursday (24/4/2025).
Rosan said business confidence in Indonesia is reflected in investment realisation figures for the first quarter of 2025, which were recorded at Rp 465.2 trillion, representing a 15.9% increase compared to the previous year's figure of Rp 401.5 trillion.
He said these investments had also created employment for 594,104 people across various sectors, a figure that rose 8.5% compared to the previous year.
"This target is, thankfully, in line with what Bappenas has targeted for achieving the investment target, particularly in 2025," Rosan said.
Furthermore, Rosan said that of the investments flowing into Indonesia over the past three years, investment in the mining industry has been very substantial, reaching 22-23% of total incoming investment.
"The contribution from downstream processing alone, from the mining industry, over the past three years has been approximately 22-23% of total investment entering Indonesia," he said.
