Buses for return of holiday makers

JAKARTA (JP): A total of 690 reserve buses have been sent to the Central Javanese towns of Purwokerto and Tegal to help the buses already available transport people who are returning to Jakarta after celebrating the Moslem Idul Fitri holidays in their home towns.

An official from Jakarta's Land and Traffic Control Agency told Antara on Wednesday that the buses consisted of those owned by the state, such as PPD and DAMRI, as well as those belonging to private companies, including Mayasari Bakti, Arion, Bianglala and Himpurna.

He said the office had prepared 1,050 buses, but so far only 690 had been sent to Central Java. (bas)
