Bus in Bogor

Bus in Bogor

From Kompas

Every Monday the buses at the Bogor terminal, which are bound
for Jakarta, are always overcrowded. I can understand why this is
so. It is a fact that many people take lodgings and work in
Jakarta, and spend the weekend in Bogor, with their families.

But it was surprising when I happened to be waiting for the
Bogor-Kalideres (Jakarta) bus on Friday, April 4, 1995, that no
spare bus was available, although I had been at the terminal for
more than half an hour.

When an additional (Garuda) bus came, the terminal authorities
did not allow the Garuda bus to enter the terminal. This was
really beyond my comprehension. But later I came to know that the
terminal buses have to take as many passengers as possible on
Friday to make up the loss they suffer on Saturday, when
commuters are not as many as on other week days.
