In the lead-up to Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri, Perum Bulog, Banyumas branch, Central Java, ensures that the prices of several strategic food commodities in the Banyumas Raya region remain stable and in accordance with the Highest Retail Price (HET) set by the government.

The Deputy Head of Perum Bulog, Banyumas branch, Muhammad Haekal, said that they are conducting intensive monitoring in several markets included in the Market and Basic Needs Monitoring System (SP2KP). “Based on the results of monitoring in several markets, the prices of medium rice, premium rice, and cooking oil are still in accordance with the HET and relatively stable,” said Haekal.

The monitoring is carried out in markets spread across Banyumas Regency, Cilacap, Purbalingba, and Banjarnegara. Price data is collected periodically to ensure that there are no price increases leading up to Eid. Meanwhile, the price of Minyakita in the four markets included in the SP2KP is monitored at Rp15,700 per liter or in accordance with the HET. “For the Minyakita cooking oil commodity, prices in the monitored markets are still in accordance with the provisions,” said Haekal.

In a joint inspection with the Food Task Force and related agencies, Bulog also found that the price of medium rice at the Sidodadi Market, Cilacap, ranged from Rp13,000–Rp13,500 per kilogram and premium rice from Rp14,000–Rp14,500 per kilogram. SPHP rice is sold for Rp62,000–Rp62,500 per 5 kilogram package, which is still in accordance with the provisions.

The price of Minyakita at the trader level ranges from Rp15,500–Rp15,700 per liter. In addition, other commodities such as broiler eggs are in the range of Rp30,000 per kilogram, garlic is Rp30,000–Rp31,000 per kilogram, and the price of red chili is actually decreasing.

Haekal said that Bulog Banyumas has distributed Minyakita three times to about 30 traders who have a Business Identification Number (NIB). Each trader receives an average supply of 10 to 50 boxes, adjusted to their sales capacity.

According to him, traders who violate the rules will be given warnings up to twice, and if they continue to do so, they may be subject to revocation of their license and legal proceedings. Bulog, together with the Food Task Force of the National Police and local government agencies, is committed to maintaining stock availability and price stability. “We ensure that the stock is safe and distribution is running smoothly. If there is a price fluctuation, Bulog is ready to take stabilization measures through the SPHP program,” he said.

He hopes that traders will continue to make a profit by selling at a reasonable price, while the public can celebrate Eid al-Fitr in peace because the prices of basic necessities remain under control.

One of the traders at the Sidodadi Market, Cilacap, Isti, said that she was helped by the supply. “We are grateful because we are supplied with Minyakita at an affordable price. This helps traders and the public to get affordable cooking oil and also attracts buyers,” she said. (H-2)

The high price of chili is due to weather factors because several major producing areas such as Pemalang, Semarang Regency, Temanggung, Demak, Pati have not yet had a major harvest.

The highest retail price (HET) for Minyakita is set at Rp15,700 per liter. Meanwhile, purchases by end consumers are limited to a maximum of 12 liters per person per day.

Banyumas Regency is considered to have successfully managed waste comprehensively, from sorting to final utilization.

In Purwokerto, price decreases occurred in broiler meat, red chili, green chili, red onion, and broiler eggs.

This distribution is aimed at strengthening the availability of people’s cooking oil and maintaining the affordability of prices in the market, especially in the run-up to Ramadan.

The simultaneous launch of the GPM has begun since February 9, 2026 and will take place gradually in various regions.

From a macro perspective, stable prices create business certainty, demand visibility, investor confidence, and protection of people’s purchasing power.

The Central Java Provincial Government is intensifying the Affordable Food Movement (GPM) and market operations. In the near future, as many as 308 GPMs will be held in all regencies/cities in Central Java.

The prices of food at the Terong Market are relatively stable with sufficient supply.

At the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, conducted a surprise inspection at the Larangan Traditional Market, Candi District, Sidoarjo Regency, Thursday (19/2).
