'Bulan Mati' plays at Oriental Theater

Balinese dancer I Nyoman Sura will present a contemporary dance performance titled Bulan Mati (Dead Moon) at the Oriental Theater, Jl. Sri Rama, Legian, on Saturday, Dec. 18, at 9 p.m.

Bulan Mati is a dance drama inspired by the different phases of the moon, and by Hindu rituals.

Sura is now a lecturer and choreographer at the Indonesian Institute of Arts (ISI), Denpasar. His international experience has spanned Europe and Asia as a collabolator with German ballet troupes and includes performance at the Swiss International Music Festival.

He has also performed at Kuala Lumpur Dance Festival, Japan Arts Festival, Singapore Arts Festival and many other art events in Indonesia and overseas countries.
