Budi Kemuliaan 3 closed two years

JAKARTA (JP): The municipality is closing Jl. Budi Kemuliaan 3 in Central Jakarta for two years for the construction of the Merdeka Tower in the area.

The head of Jakarta's Land Transport Agency, J.P. Sepang, said yesterday the instruction excluded motorists heading to the Indosat Building.

"The instruction will be effective from May 26 this year until May 26, 1999," Sepang said in a statement.

He said motorists heading to Jl. Budi Kemuliaan 2 could take Jl. Budi Kemuliaan, while those heading to Jl. Medan Merdeka Barat could take Jl. Budi Kemuliaan leading to the fountain roundabout.

Sepang also urged people to avoid the construction area during busy hours and obey traffic signs. (ste)
