BT, Indosat launch service

JAKARTA (JP): The state-owned international telecommunications
operator PT Indosat, in cooperation with British Telecom, has
launched concert frame relay services (CFRS), the first to offer
frame relay in Indonesia.

British Telecom's manager in Indonesia, David Payne, said here
yesterday that under the cooperation, Indosat will provide high
speed data communications services for multinational corporations
and their extended enterprises as well as major local companies.

The two will work continue working together on its concert
packet service (CPS), which is a managed data network service, he
said.

Both British Telecom and Indosat will work together to provide
services in Indonesia. Full customer service will be the
responsibility of Indosat with international support from British
Telecom's regional and global customer service center. (icn)
