Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BSI) recorded a net profit growth (unaudited) of around 17% (year on year/yoy), reaching Rp1.36 trillion, continuing the trend of sustainable growth in recent years.

BSI President Director Anggoro Eko Cahyo stated in Jakarta on Thursday that this performance reflects the company’s solid position at the start of the year.

The company’s steps in accelerating digitalisation, expanding gold business services, strengthening the consumer segment, and increasing support for government programmes in the productive sector and MSMEs have contributed to maintaining the positive and sustainable performance growth trend.

BSI noted that fee-based income (FBI) grew 30% (yoy) to Rp1.47 trillion. The main contributor to FBI growth came from gold banking services, which recorded the highest surge of 136.55% to Rp463 billion.

Additionally, FBI performance was supported by treasury business and e-channel services. As of February 2026, the number of users of the superapp BYOND by BSI reached 6.3 million, with the number of transactions reaching 125.4 million.

On the intermediation performance side, financing grew 14.32% (yoy) to Rp323 trillion, with the largest contribution coming from the consumer segment, particularly the gold business.

Furthermore, financing growth was strengthened by contributions from retail financing, including MSMEs, reaching Rp52.43 trillion, or up 6.10% (yoy).

The company expressed its commitment to supporting MSMEs in upgrading, from mentoring, training, financing, business matching, to providing BSI MSME Centre services.

Financing growth was also supported by the company’s strategy in strengthening differentiation through the bullion bank business, which is one of BSI’s strengths.

Since obtaining the bullion bank licence, BSI’s gold business has shown significant growth and become one of the main drivers of the company’s performance.

This performance was further strengthened by an increase in gold management reaching around 22.5 tonnes and a continuously growing customer base to 23 million in the last four years.

Next, on the fund-raising side, the company recorded third-party funds (DPK) growth of 14.76% (yoy) to Rp366 trillion.

DPK growth was driven by an increase in savings of 16.06% (yoy) to Rp154 trillion. According to the company, this reflects the increasing public trust in sharia banking services.

The company’s liquidity also remained stable with a financing to deposit ratio (FDR) at 88.20%. Meanwhile, the contribution of fee-based income to total revenue also increased, as reflected by the rise in the fee-based ratio to 24.59% annually.

In supporting government programmes, BSI contributed to the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme through the provision of 1520 virtual account services for BGN Partners and financing for the construction of MBG SPPG Kitchens reaching Rp194.50 billion for 145 kitchens.

Additionally, BSI supports the government’s aspiration to realise around 80,000 cooperative units in the Red White Village Cooperatives (KDMP) programme and has disbursed people’s business credit (KUR) financing of Rp1.65 trillion year to date up to February 2026.

Not only that, the company also supports the 3 Million Houses FLPP Programme (subsidised housing), with year-to-date realisation up to February 2026 reaching Rp94.82 billion or equivalent to 582 housing units. On the other hand, the disbursement of Housing Programme Credit (KPP) year to date up to February 2026 was recorded at Rp259 billion.
