Jakarta (ANTARA) — PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BSI) recorded vehicle financing growth of approximately 19 per cent year-on-year throughout 2025, reaching Rp6.41 trillion, accompanied by healthy financing quality.

According to the company, the increase in vehicle financing demand occurred primarily in areas with high mobility and dense industrial activity, such as Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek), Medan, Surabaya and Makassar.

BSI Retail Banking Director Kemas Erwan Husainy said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday that public purchasing power for vehicle needs remains strong, in line with improving economic growth, which has enabled business growth across various sectors.

“BSI OTO [BSI’s motor vehicle financing product] posted solid performance, growing above the industry average of around 7 per cent,” Erwan said.

According to the company, BSI’s solid vehicle financing performance was driven by well-targeted financing strategies and sound risk management.

In addition, BSI OTO works in partnership with Mandiri Utama Finance (MUF) Syariah in the financing disbursement process. The collaboration is intended to accelerate financing processing, given that MUF Syariah focuses on vehicle financing for new cars, used cars and new motorcycles.

Erwan noted that in the lead-up to Ramadan, average vehicle financing demand at BSI typically increases by around 10–15 per cent.

The company remains committed to providing vehicle financing solutions that comply with sharia principles, are secure, and offer convenience for customers.
