JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRIS) recorded a profit of Rp 1.36 trillion (unaudited) as of February 2026. This figure grew by approximately 17 per cent year-on-year (yoy) compared to the same period last year. The profit was supported by BSI’s financing, which expanded by 14.32 per cent year-on-year to Rp 323 trillion (unaudited) as of February 2026. Additionally, financing growth was strengthened by contributions from retail financing, including SMEs, reaching Rp 52.43 trillion, or an increase of 6.10 per cent year-on-year (yoy). The company is endeavouring to support SMEs in upgrading through assistance, training, financing, business matching, and the provision of BSI SME Centre services. Financing growth was also supported by the company’s strategy to strengthen differentiation through its bullion bank business, which is one of BSI’s key strengths. This performance was further reinforced by an increase in gold management to around 22.5 tonnes and a continuously expanding customer base to 23 million over the last four years. On the other hand, commission-based or fee-based income (FBI) rose to Rp 1.47 trillion, representing 30 per cent year-on-year growth. The main contributor to FBI growth came from gold banking services, which recorded the highest surge of 136.55 per cent to Rp 463 billion. Furthermore, FBI performance was supported by treasury business and e-channel services, reflecting the effectiveness of BSI’s digitalisation and service diversification strategies. BSI also recorded Third-Party Funds (DPK) growth of 14.76 per cent year-on-year (yoy) to Rp 366 trillion. This growth was driven by an increase in savings of 16.06 per cent year-on-year (yoy) to Rp 154 trillion. Moreover, the company’s liquidity remains well-maintained with a Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) at 88.20 per cent.
