BSI Records Profit of Rp 1.3 Trillion, Gold Business Becomes Key Supporter
PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) recorded growth in several key performance indicators up to February 2026 (unaudited). BSI booked a profit of Rp 1.36 trillion, representing approximately 17% growth year-on-year (YoY). Financing reached Rp 323 trillion, up 14.32% annually (YoY). The increase in financing was primarily supported by the consumer segment, with the largest contribution coming from the gold business. Retail financing, including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), stood at Rp 52.43 trillion, up 6.10% YoY. Growth in financing was also linked to strengthened business differentiation through bullion bank services. Since obtaining approval as a bullion bank, BSI’s gold business has become one of the drivers of performance. Up to February 2026, gold holdings reached approximately 22.5 tonnes. Over the past four years, BSI’s customer base has grown to 23 million. Fee-based income (FBI) was recorded at Rp 1.47 trillion, an increase of 30% YoY. The largest growth came from gold banking services, which rose 136.55% to Rp 463 billion. Additionally, FBI was supported by treasury business and electronic channel services. Up to February 2026, users of the superapp BYOND by BSI numbered 6.3 million, with a total of 125.4 million transactions. On the funding side, third-party funds (DPK) reached Rp 366 trillion, growing 14.76% YoY. This growth was driven by an increase in savings, which hit Rp 154 trillion, up 16.06% YoY.
