BSI channels Rp198 billion in financing for MBG kitchen operations
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BSI) is committed to continuing to support government priority programmes, one of which is through financing for the operations of the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) worth Rp198 billion until the first quarter of 2026.
“Up to now, we have channelled financing worth Rp198 billion and supported the operations of approximately 211 MBG (Makan Bergizi Gratis) kitchens,” said BSI’s Director of Risk Management, Grandhis Helmi Harumansyah, in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He stated that the company also provides virtual account (VA) services as well as cash management systems to assist the daily operational activities of the SPPG.
Through these services, the company has been able to reach more than 1,600 kitchens partnered with the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), which are mostly located in Aceh, West Sumatra, and West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
In addition to the MBG programme, Grandhis conveyed that the company also supports the development of cooperatives, MSMEs, and other productive businesses through the distribution of People’s Business Credit (KUR).
The distribution of such credit has reached Rp2.61 trillion with 17,732 beneficiary customers during the first quarter of this year.
“For the KUR programme, the total outstanding as of today is approximately Rp25.7 trillion,” said Grandhis.
Meanwhile, regarding the 3 Million Houses programme, the company provides Financing Liquidity Facility for Housing (FLPP) financing worth Rp145.7 billion to 894 customers throughout January-March 2026, with an outstanding amount of Rp5.72 trillion.
Furthermore, the company also distributes Housing Programme Credit (KPP) to MSME customers.
Grandhis explained that during the first quarter of 2026, the company has provided financing on the supply side amounting to Rp4.7 billion to developers.
Meanwhile, the distribution of KPP to MSME customers on the demand side reached Rp360 billion for 1,131 customers during that period.
Another government programme supported by BSI is the development of the bullion or gold bank ecosystem. This state-owned sharia bank became the first gold bank inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto on 26 February 2025.
“Up to today, from the bullion business line, namely gold savings, gold instalments, and pawning, we manage approximately 23.05 tonnes of gold,” said Grandhis Helmi Harumansyah.
