BRI's Subsidised Mortgage Disbursement Reaches 125,000 Borrowers by March 2026
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BRI, recorded disbursements of subsidised home ownership credit (KPR) amounting to Rp17.13 trillion to more than 125,000 borrowers as of March 2026. The company stated that these disbursements will continue to increase as part of its commitment to providing access to decent housing for low-income communities. BRI’s Director of Consumer Banking, Aris Hartanto, in a statement received in Jakarta on Monday, conveyed that BRI continues to strengthen its support for the national housing programme through the distribution of subsidised KPR. These disbursements, he said, expand access to home ownership for low-income communities while encouraging growth in various business sectors developing around residential areas. “The distribution of subsidised KPR reflects BRI’s commitment to expanding housing access for the community,” Aris stated. BRI views housing financing as having an important role in improving welfare and driving economic activity in various regions. “Through this step, BRI aims to deliver sustainable impacts for the community and the economy,” Aris added. In addition to opening access to home ownership for the community, the company sees that the development of residential areas also provides broad economic impacts. This activity drives growth in various supporting sectors, from construction, the building materials industry, labour services, to logistics, as well as business opportunities for MSME actors developing around residential areas. Aris emphasised that BRI’s extensive network serves as a strategic foundation in expanding the reach of housing financing to various regions. “Supported by a wide and integrated network, BRI will continue to optimise the distribution of housing financing to reach more communities in various regions. This effort is aimed at expanding the reach of financing while ensuring more equitable access in various areas,” Aris concluded.
