BRI's profits rise 74%
JAKARTA (JP): The state-owned Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) booked a 74 percent increase in its consolidated pretax profits last year. The 1995 figure rose to Rp 255.25 billion (US$111 million) from Rp 147.17 billion in the previous year.
The bank announced yesterday that its interest revenues increased by 25 percent to Rp 1.55 trillion last year from Rp 1.35 trillion in 1994.
The bank's consolidated assets, which totaled Rp 25.90 trillion at the end of 1994, rose by 10 percent to Rp 28.56 trillion at the end of 1995. (hen)
