BRI to Disburse IDR 178 Trillion in KUR Loans in 2025, Strengthening MSMEs and National Food Security

Jakarta, VIVA – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), a banking issuer with a mandate in the people’s economy sector, continues to strengthen its role as a driver of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) financing. Throughout January to December 2025, the company successfully disbursed People’s Business Loans (KUR) to MSMEs amounting to IDR 178.08 trillion to approximately 3.8 million debtors throughout Indonesia.

BRI’s Director, Hery Gunardi, affirmed that the company has a strategic role in supporting the government’s priority programs, especially in expanding access to financing for small business actors.

Of the total disbursement, the agricultural sector contributed the largest share, reaching IDR 80.09 trillion. This value is equivalent to 44.97 percent of the total KUR disbursed by BRI to MSMEs.

“BRI has always been the backbone for the disbursement of people’s business loans because it has a direct impact on food security and the regional economy,” said Hery at the online press conference on the Financial Performance Report for the Fourth Quarter of 2025, Thursday, February 26, 2026.

The strengthening of its role as the backbone of the people’s economy is also reflected in the company’s active role in the Housing Finance Liquidity Facility (FLPP) program. By the end of 2025, the company disbursed IDR 16.16 trillion to more than 118,000 debtors throughout Indonesia.

Hery added that the FLPP scheme, distributed in the form of subsidized home ownership loans (KPR), is a support for the government’s 3 million homes program. The aim is to expand access to home ownership for low-income people.

He added that the company is targeting the financing of around 60,000 subsidized homes from this FLPP scheme. This target shows BRI’s commitment to expanding financial inclusion in housing in Indonesia.

“BRI is optimistic that it can disburse FLPP financing for 60,000 subsidized housing units,” said Hery.

The company also participates in various other government priority programs, such as the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) and the Red and White Regional Cooperative. BRI is also one of the banks that distributes non-cash social assistance from the government, namely the Family Hope Program (PKH) and basic necessities assistance.

“Through support for MSMEs and housing finance, we want to ensure inclusive and sustainable economic growth,” said Hery.
