JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BRI, has reported that its distribution of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) loans in 2025 is expected to surpass the government’s target.

The President Director of BRI, Hery Gunardi, stated that the bank has distributed IDR 178.08 trillion in MSME loans to 3.8 million borrowers throughout 2025.

This achievement exceeds the MSME loan target mandated by the Ministry of Cooperatives to BRI, which was IDR 175 trillion.

“BRI plays a strategic role in supporting the implementation of various government priority programs. BRI has always been the backbone for the distribution of micro, small and medium enterprises loans,” he said during a press conference on Thursday (February 26, 2026).

In addition, BRI is also actively distributing housing loans as part of government programs, such as the Home Ownership Loan (KPR) scheme with the Housing Finance Liquidity Facility (FLPP).

In support of the government’s program to build 3 million homes, BRI has distributed IDR 16.16 trillion in subsidized KPR to 118,000 borrowers throughout 2025.

“For this year, BRI is optimistic that it can distribute financing for 60,000 units of subsidized homes under the FLPP,” he said.

Of this amount, IDR 163.9 trillion was distributed to the production sector and IDR 106.1 trillion to the non-production sector.
