We have room to provide dividends with a higher payout ratio compared to historical levels.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (stock code: BBRI) has indicated the possibility of increasing the dividend payout ratio for the 2025 financial year to a level higher than its historical levels, in line with the company’s continued strong capital.

The President Director of BRI, Hery Gunardi, in a virtual press conference on the presentation of the 2025 fourth-quarter financial performance in Jakarta on Thursday, explained that determining the dividend ratio takes into account the capital structure or capital adequacy ratio (CAR).

In addition, the dividend ratio also considers growth plans to support sustainable business in the future.

Hery said that currently, BRI’s capital condition is very adequate, as reflected in the CAR, which is at 23.52 percent at the end of 2025, or above the minimum regulatory requirements.

“Considering these conditions, we should have room to provide dividends with a higher payout ratio compared to historical levels,” he said.

With a high dividend ratio, he added that this step is an effort by the company to continuously provide sustainable added value to shareholders.

This policy also has the potential to increase BRI’s return on equity (ROE) along with the optimization of the capital structure.

Previously, for the 2024 financial year, BRI distributed dividends of IDR 51.73 trillion, an increase compared to the dividends paid in the previous year of IDR 48.10 trillion.

BRI recorded consolidated net profit attributable to the parent entity of IDR 60.15 trillion for the 2024 financial year.

Meanwhile, for the 2025 financial year, BRI has distributed interim dividends of at least IDR 20.6 trillion, or equivalent to IDR 137 per share.

The distribution of dividends refers to BRI’s financial performance as of September 30, 2025, where consolidated net profit attributable to the parent entity was recorded at IDR 41.23 trillion.

As of the end of 2025, BRI booked a net profit of IDR 57.132 trillion, with total assets growing by 7.1 percent year-on-year to IDR 2.135 trillion.
