BRI Savings Mystery Box Offers More Engaging and Rewarding Savings Experience for New Customers

Jakarta — Bank Rakyat Indonesia is currently implementing a transformation initiative called BRIVolution Reignite, which aims in part to strengthen its low-cost deposit base.

The transformation is already yielding results, as evidenced by the strengthening of current and savings account deposits, with the CASA (Current Account Savings Account) ratio continuing to increase and deposit costs improving.

Third-party funds grew 7.4 per cent year-on-year to Rp 1.467 trillion with a CASA ratio of 70.6 per cent, and the cost of third-party fund deposits improved to 2.9 per cent compared to 3.1 per cent at the end of 2024.

In line with this transformation, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk is committed to expanding financial inclusion and delivering added value to the community. This commitment is now being realised through the launch of the “BRI Savings Mystery Box” programme.

The programme, running from 2 March to 30 June 2026, gives new BRI customers throughout Indonesia the opportunity to win prizes through a mystery box containing various rewards including cashback, shopping vouchers, BRIZZI, and digital gold savings.

This initiative reflects BRI’s strategic move to provide relevant solutions and added value to customers. With a combination of integrated services and attractive programmes, new customers immediately experience benefits from their first day joining the BRI ecosystem.

Aquarius Rudianto, Director of BRI’s Network and Retail Funding division, said the launch of this programme also supports the bank’s strategy to strengthen its low-cost deposit base (CASA), whilst improving the quality of third-party fund growth through the acquisition of new customers who are attractive and actively transacting.

“We designed this programme to provide an engaging experience for new customers whilst encouraging saving habits and the use of digital services from the start,” he said in a statement on Wednesday (11 March 2026).

He added that the fund growth created would not only increase numerically but would also be supported by customers who are active and engaged. The variety of prizes offered also reflects the completeness of BRI’s service ecosystem, ranging from banking transactions and non-cash payments to alternative digital gold investments.

To participate in the programme, new customers must meet certain requirements as follows:

• Make an initial deposit of a minimum of Rp 10 million, with funds held for three months.

• Add the digit “130” to the initial deposit amount as proof of programme participation.

• Activate BRImo and BRI Debit.

• Ensure that funds come from fresh deposits (not from existing savings accounts or loans already held with BRI).

Customers who meet all requirements have a chance to win prizes from the Mystery Box, with a total quota of more than 1,000 prizes including cashback, shopping vouchers, BRIZZI, and digital gold savings.
