BRI Insurance Educates Hundreds of Students in Surabaya on Insurance
Surabaya is one of Indonesia’s regions with rapidly developing economic potential. However, for insurance industry players, the region still faces challenges in financial literacy and inclusion, particularly regarding insurance matters.
To support improved financial literacy and inclusion, BRI Insurance has committed to participating in the GENCARKAN (National Smart Finance Movement) programme, held on 5 March 2026 at Universitas Ciputra.
The insurance literacy and financial inclusion programme from BRI Insurance aims to provide financial education, particularly concerning insurance ownership, and to improve access to insurance services among students and the surrounding community. The literacy activity was attended by more than 500 participants comprising students, lecturers, and university administrators.
Deputy Division Head of Development & Operational Business Division at BRI Insurance Ari Pratama stated that BRI Insurance will continue to demonstrate its commitment to supporting improved insurance literacy and financial inclusion, particularly in enhancing students’ knowledge, as well as reaching communities, boarding school students, and various groups.
“With this insurance literacy and financial inclusion initiative, I hope students and all segments of society can understand, obtain, and experience the benefits of safe and appropriate protection in the future,” said Ari.
Chief Executive Officer of BRI Insurance Budi Legowo stated that BRI Insurance will continue to demonstrate its commitment to supporting improved financial literacy and inclusion, particularly in insurance matters. This also forms part of BRI Insurance’s programme to support the Financial Services Authority’s (OJK) efforts to improve financial literacy and inclusion across Indonesia.
Budi explained that BRI Insurance offers various loss insurance products that can be selected according to customer needs.
