BRI Insurance Distributes Aid to Landslide Victims in West Bandung, Focusing on Clean Water and Education
BRI Insurance reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility, particularly for communities affected by natural disasters.
On this occasion, BRI Insurance distributed Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance to residents affected by a landslide disaster in Pasirlangu Village, Cisarua District, West Bandung Regency. The aid, focused on recovering basic infrastructure and education, was handed over on Friday, 6 March 2026.
The assistance distribution ceremony, held solemnly in the courtyard of Pasirlangu Village Office, was attended directly by BRI Insurance Chief Executive Officer Budi Legowo.
In his remarks, Chief Executive Officer Budi Legowo expressed deep empathy and concern over the disaster that befell residents. He stressed that the company understood how difficult the situation was for the community following the landslide that devastated their settlements.
“Through assistance in the form of water supply infrastructure from water reservoirs to residents’ homes and school supplies for children, we hope this aid can help meet the community’s daily needs. Additionally, we want to ensure that children can continue learning well and face the future with optimism,” said Budi in his statement on Monday, 9 March 2026.
He also emphasised that concern from various parties, regardless of its scale, is expected to strengthen the spirit of the community to recover from the disaster’s aftermath.
Meanwhile, West Bandung Deputy Regent Asep Ismail expressed the highest appreciation for BRI Insurance’s initiative and swift action.
“This assistance not only helps meet residents’ basic needs, but also demonstrates that solidarity and mutual cooperation remain very strong within our community,” said Asep.
In line with the Deputy Regent, Pasirlangu Village Head Nur Awaludin Lubis acknowledged that the previous landslide had paralysed residents’ daily activities. The disruption of clean water access became the main obstacle to public health sanitation.
“We hope this assistance can ease the burden on our community and serve as motivation for residents to continue recovering and rebuilding their lives after the disaster,” said Nur Awaludin Lubis.
