BRI Distributes Rp 2.3 Trillion in Housing Credit Programme
JAKARTA — PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BRI, has distributed Rp 2.30 trillion in housing credit programme (KPP) loans to 17,443 debtors during January-February 2026.
BRI Chief Executive Officer Hery Gunardi stated that the disbursement had achieved 28.75 percent of this year’s KPP disbursement target of Rp 8 trillion.
“The KPP disbursement is supported by BRI’s fundamental strengths, ranging from a large customer base to a service network extending to remote areas of Indonesia,” he said in a written statement on Monday (9 March 2026).
This performance reaffirms BRI’s commitment and consistency in supporting the government’s housing sector programme.
The KPP is part of support for the Three Million Homes Programme and the housing sector development agenda, which is inclusive and sustainable.
Gunardi added that strengthening financing in the housing sector focuses not only on the consumption side but also on the production side. By supporting building material enterprises, small-scale contractors, and distributors in regional areas, the KPP is expected to create a sustainable housing ecosystem and enhance local economic leverage.
“Consequently, housing sector financing, including for UMKM actors in the construction supply chain, can be distributed more evenly and effectively,” he said.
The KPP is a financing facility for investment and working capital that receives government subsidies, aimed at stimulating economic activity and UMKM operations from both supply and demand perspectives, particularly in the building materials and construction sectors.
This scheme not only supports home ownership for the community but also creates a multiplier effect that drives regional economic growth.
Going forward, BRI is committed to accelerating KPP disbursement whilst upholding principles of prudence, good governance, and measurable risk management.
