Brebes Launches Anti-Corruption Publicity Network to Strengthen Integrity Campaign in Public Space
To strengthen the integrity campaign in public spaces, the Brebes Regency Government in Central Java launched the Anti-Corruption Publicity Working Network (Pariwara Anti-Corruption / KPK). The launch coincided with the 118th National Awakening Day (Harkitnas) commemorations at the Brebes Integrated Government Administration Office (KPT) Field. The launch was marked by the release of doves by Brebes Regent Paramitha Widya Kusuma, accompanied by Deputy Regent Wurja, Forkopimda officials and regional devices (OPD) as a symbol of the commitment to building a clean and integrity-filled government. The initiative represents a collaboration between the Brebes Regency Department of Communications, Informatics and Statistics (Dinkominfotik) and the Regional Inspectorate in strengthening anti-corruption campaigns within the Brebes Regency government. Through the Anti-Corruption Pariwara Network, the local government aims to broaden education and dissemination of anti-corruption information to the public through various public communication channels and cross-OPD collaboration. The head of Dinkominfotik Brebes, Warsito Eko Putro, explained that the launch of the network is a follow-up to the anti-corruption campaign programme initiated by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). “The Regional Inspectorate has partnered with Dinkominfotik because it has duties and functions in the field of public communication, so anti-corruption messages can be transmitted more widely and effectively to the public,” Warsito Eko said when contacted on Thursday (21/5). Eko Warsito noted that through the network they will synergise with various OPDs that directly touch on public service. Anti-corruption educational materials will be packaged creatively and communicatively so that the public can understand them easily. The collaboration is hoped to foster a shared awareness in preventing corruption practices, illicit levies, and irregularities in public service. “The Inspectorate will strengthen substance and oversight, while Dinkominfotik will be tasked with conveying messages to the public through various communication media. The ultimate aim is to create a culture of anti-corruption in society,” Eko Warsito said. Brebes Regent Paramitha Widya Kusuma stated her support for strengthening the anti-corruption campaign through a more massive and collaborative public communication approach. The fight against corruption is not enough through oversight alone; it must be built through education and community participation from an early age. “The anti-corruption movement must become a shared culture. The local government fully supports cross-OPD synergy in conveying integrity values to the public, so that public services in Brebes Regency become more transparent and accountable,” Paramitha affirmed. The launch of the Anti-Corruption Pariwara Network by KPK is part of the Brebes Regency Government’s commitment to strengthening clean governance, while also building public trust through open and educational communication.
