Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) has conducted an update to the National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN). From this data update, 25,665 families were found to be eligible for social assistance or in deciles 1-4.

The Head of BPS Indonesia, Amalia Adininggar, commonly known as Winny, explained that there were 77,000 families not yet recorded in the decile ranking. However, in the DTSEN version 2-2026, ranking has been successfully completed for 27,176 families.

“From the 27,176, we found that 25,665 are indeed in deciles one to four, and the remaining 1,511 are in deciles five to ten,” said Winny, when met in Jakarta on Thursday (16/4/2026).

Thus, from the latest data, there are still 49,838 families that have not entered the decile ranking.

However, from the data update, an inclusion error of 11,014 families was discovered. According to Winny, this finding represents 0.06% of the total social assistance recipients, around 18.15 million.

The data for families in the inclusion error will no longer receive social assistance in the second quarter of 2026.

“This means that these 11,014 families will be used by the Minister of Social Affairs to clean up the social assistance recipients for the second quarter of 2026,” she said.

Winny also stated that an official letter regarding the DTSEN update has been submitted to the relevant ministers. In this update, there are also 289.3 million single NIKs and 95.3 million families recorded through Family Cards (KK).
