BPK records positive trend in recommendation follow-up by Judicial Commission and Constitutional Court
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Supreme Audit Board (BPK) has recorded a positive trend in the follow-up of its recommendations as of the second semester of 2025, with both the Judicial Commission (KY) and the Constitutional Court (MK) achieving compliance rates above 85 per cent.
“BPK’s audits produce recommendations for improving financial governance that benefit the work units being examined,” said BPK Member I Nyoman Adhi Suryadnyana at the commencement of audits of the 2025 Financial Statements of both institutions, held separately, according to an official statement issued in Jakarta on Tuesday.
BPK reported that 263 out of a total of 305 recommendations, or 86.23 per cent, had been followed up in accordance with its recommendations by the Judicial Commission.
Meanwhile, the Constitutional Court demonstrated a recommendation follow-up compliance rate of 98.16 per cent, with no recommendations left unaddressed.
This achievement further reinforces the Constitutional Court’s consistency in maintaining an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) for 19 consecutive years since 2007.
During both entry meetings, BPK noted that the audits would be conducted over approximately the next four months using a professional approach based on auditing standards.
“An audit is a process of identifying problems, analysing, and evaluating that is carried out independently, objectively, and professionally based on auditing standards,” Nyoman stated.
Through these audits, BPK expressed hope that all work units would continue to improve the quality of their budget management and ensure that every recommendation becomes part of ongoing improvements in the implementation of programmes and activities.
The synergy established between BPK, the Judicial Commission, and the Constitutional Court is expected to further strengthen institutional performance within the judicial branch.
