Jakarta - The Indonesian Audit Board (BPK) is conducting an examination of Financial Reports for 2025 from several ministry and agency leaders in the politics, law, and security (Polhukam) sector, focused on improving sustainable governance.

“In carrying out this mandate, we are not merely seeking findings or errors. What is more important is providing constructive improvement recommendations to strengthen accountability, increase efficiency, and enhance the effectiveness of the use of state resources and finances,” said BPK Member I Nyoman Adhi Suryadnyana during an entry meeting, according to official statements from Jakarta on Saturday.

He continued that financial management must be viewed within a sustainable development framework by integrating Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles. These principles are considered crucial to support the achievement of Indonesia’s Gold Vision 2045, whilst strengthening national economic resilience and public trust.

The BPK has developed various initiatives to support the sustainability agenda, including developing audit guidelines for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) since 2016, as well as conducting audits with an ESG perspective since 2020.

In the forum, the BPK also acknowledged entities demonstrating positive performance, particularly the State Cyber and Encryption Agency (BSSN), which became the fastest agency in submitting unaudited 2025 financial reports and has completed all recommendations from BPK audits.

“We invite all agency leaders to strengthen collaboration and commitment to transparent and accountable governance. Through solid synergy between the BPK and ministries/agencies, it is hoped that the examination of 2025 financial reports will not only produce an opinion, but also drive continuous improvement in state financial management and strengthen the foundation of national development,” said Nyoman.

Participants in the activity included General Elections Commission (KPU) Chair Mochammad Afifuddin, General Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) Chair Rahmat Bagja, BSSN Head Nugroho Sulistyo Budi, Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Head Teuku Faisal Fathani, National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) Head Eddy Hartono, National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) Head Muhammad Syafii, and National Commission (Komnas) for Women Chair Maria Ulfah Anshor.
