JAKARTA – The State Audit Board (BPK) has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining professionalism, accountability, and inter-agency synergy in relation to the commencement of audits of Financial Reports (LK) by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Processing/Investment Coordinating Board (Kemeninveshil/BKPM) for the 2025 Financial Year.

BPK Member II Daniel Lumban Tobing conveyed this commitment during two separate entry meetings, emphasising that the entire audit process would be conducted according to strict ethical standards.

In meetings with the OJK, Daniel explained that the audit was being conducted using a risk-based approach. “BPK audits are conducted whilst upholding high professional standards and audit ethics,” Daniel stated during the presentation of OJK’s unaudited financial report in Jakarta on Saturday (28/2). The event was attended by the Acting Deputy Chair of the OJK Board of Commissioners, Friderica Widyasari Dewi. Daniel emphasised the importance of collaboration to ensure the audit is completed on schedule and strengthens governance in the financial services sector.

In addition to the OJK, BPK has also commenced an audit of the 2025 financial reports of Kemeninveshil/BKPM. This agenda was attended directly by the Minister of Investment and Downstream Processing/Head of BKPM, Rosan Perkasa Roeslani.

Daniel emphasised that the primary objective of the audit is not merely to provide an opinion on the fairness of the financial report, but also to drive continuous improvements in the management of state finances. “BPK audits are guided by State Financial Audit Standards (SPKN) as regulated in BPK Regulation Number 1 of 2017. Auditors are required to comply with a strict Code of Ethics in accordance with BPK Regulation Number 4 of 2018,” Daniel stated.

Given the rigorous audit schedule, BPK anticipates effective coordination from both the OJK and Kemeninveshil/BKPM. This synergy is crucial so that audit results can provide a meaningful contribution to government transparency and accountability. Through this step, BPK hopes to maintain public trust in state financial management through an objective, smooth, and professional audit process.
