Jakarta – In commemoration of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijra, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Indonesian workers through backing the free mudik programme organised by the Ministry of Manpower.

Saiful Hidayat, Chief Executive of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, stated that the support reflects the institution’s dedication to worker welfare, particularly during the significant occasion of reuniting with family in their hometowns.

“First, on behalf of the entire BPJS Ketenagakerjaan family, I would like to extend greetings to all Indonesian workers as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijra. This moment is deeply meaningful for workers to reunite with their beloved families,” Saiful said.

He explained that this year, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is providing full support to the Ministry of Manpower’s free mudik initiative. Beyond the worker send-off ceremony held today, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan will also support mudik activities organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and several regional governments.

“Overall, our support this year reaches approximately 1,000 workers. Specifically at the Ministry of Manpower, we are sponsoring 15 buses and mudik kits including neck pillows, light snacks and beverages, first aid kits and mineral water. This is an increase from the previous year, which had 10 buses and similar mudik kits. This collaboration represents inter-agency synergy in providing care and wider attention to workers and labourers,” he added.

He further emphasised that BPJS Ketenagakerjaan wishes to continuously support Indonesian workers, not only in protecting them during work and addressing workplace risks, but also during moments of togetherness with family.

“We understand that for many workers, mudik is an important moment to ease longing after working throughout the year. Therefore, we want to continue supporting Indonesian workers, not only when they are working, but also when they enjoy time with their beloved families,” he said.

During the free mudik send-off ceremony, Minister of Manpower Yassierli expressed appreciation for support from all stakeholders, including BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, enabling the successful implementation of this year’s free mudik programme for workers.
