BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and Jasa Raharja Integrate Work Accident Services
This application integration is part of strengthening digital transformation in worker protection services to deliver faster, coordinated claims processing and ensure service certainty for participants. The application enables more effective Coordination of Benefit (CoB) between BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and Jasa Raharja, speeding up service delivery and simplifying administrative processes at healthcare facilities.
BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Director General Saiful Hidayat stated the collaboration implements the agency’s 3C strategy, specifically the Care aspect, providing seamless protection without barriers. “This integration is a crucial step to ensure our workers are seamlessly protected through streamlined information and data exchange between BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and Jasa Raharja, enabling better CoB coordination. It demonstrates the state’s commitment to providing the best protection for Indonesian workers,” he said in a written release on Monday, 25 May 2026.
The launch event took place at Primaya Hospital Karawang, attended by Saiful and Jasa Raharja Director General Muhammad Awaluddin. Saiful emphasised that BPJS Ketenagakerjaan’s Work Accident Insurance (JKK) covers risks beyond workplace activities, including commuting to and from work. “BPJS Ketenagakerjaan’s protection extends from when workers leave for work until they return home. Strengthening collaboration with Jasa Raharja is vital to ensure service certainty during work-related traffic accidents,” he added.
BPJS Ketenagakerjaan reported traffic accidents remain a major contributor to work-related incidents. In 2025, out of approximately 318,000 cases, 28% (over 87,000) occurred during traffic incidents. This highlights the need to strengthen both post-accident services and proactive preventive measures to reduce road traffic accidents.
Awaluddin said the collaboration represents state-led protection integration, aiming to deliver faster, precise, and accurate services for citizens, particularly workers involved in work-related traffic accidents. “This integration enhances inter-agency service efficiency and optimises CoB mechanisms for more effective and coordinated claims processing,” he added. “We hope this innovation does not stop at today’s integration; in future, we will continue developing service innovations to ensure basic protection for citizens and workers is more accessible, timely, and beneficial.”
The application integration also strengthens data coordination and service processes, making claims administration more efficient, accurate, and transparent, including for the 1,624 Work Accident Service Centres (PLKK) collaborating with both institutions.
DJSN member Muttaqien praised the system integration between the two agencies. “We fully support and commend BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and Jasa Raharja for establishing this system integration. We hope the application functions effectively to ensure better and more efficient services in the future,” he said.
The launch event also included Safety Riding education and campaigns as part of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan’s promotional and preventive measures. These efforts aim to raise workers’ awareness of road safety and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) culture, given traffic accidents remain a key risk. Saiful stressed that worker protection focuses not only on post-accident handling but also on preventive measures to sustainably reduce work accident rates.
