In support of public comfort during the 2026 Ramadan homecoming, BPJS Kesehatan has established homecoming posts (Posko Mudik) at several high-traffic points. Through these posts, homecoming travellers can access various free health services and obtain information regarding the National Health Insurance Programme (JKN) throughout their journey.

BPJS Kesehatan’s Chief Executive Officer Prihati Pujowaskito explained that the health posts will be accessible from 13 to 18 March 2026 at several strategic locations, including Merak Port in Banten, Pulo Gebang Terminal in East Jakarta, Cipularang Toll Rest Area Km 88A in Purwakarta, Cipali Toll Rest Area Km 166A in Majalengka, Ungaran Toll Rest Area Km 429 in Semarang, Masaran Toll Rest Area Km 519A in Sragen, Purabaya Terminal in Sidoarjo, and Soekarno-Hatta Port in Makassar.

“Homecoming travellers can utilise various health services at the BPJS Kesehatan Posko Mudik free of charge,” said Prihati during the inauguration of the health post at Purabaya Terminal Sidoarjo on Friday, 13 March 2026. “We hope the public will not hesitate to stop by if they need healthcare services or information regarding the JKN programme during their homecoming journey.”

According to him, the provision of homecoming posts is a routine agenda for BPJS Kesehatan during each Ramadan period, demonstrating the organisation’s commitment to facilitating access to services for JKN participants travelling during the holidays. In addition to operating the posts, BPJS Kesehatan will also maintain in-person membership administration services at branch offices on 18, 20, 23, and 24 March 2026 from 08.00 until 13.30 local time.

At the BPJS Kesehatan Posko Mudik, travellers can access various facilities including health consultations, free health checks, relaxation facilities, basic medication, and simple medical procedures for emergency conditions. If necessary, officers will also provide referrals to the nearest healthcare facilities.

Prihati added that during the Ramadan homecoming period, JKN participants can continue to access healthcare services even whilst outside their residential area. This is enabled through the portability principle within the JKN programme, allowing participants to obtain outpatient services at health centres, clinics, or private medical practitioners partnered with BPJS Kesehatan.

“In emergency situations, participants can visit the nearest hospital without requiring a referral first. Information regarding healthcare facilities that continue operating during the Ramadan holiday can be accessed through the Mobile JKN application,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the East Java Provincial Health Office Director Erwin Astha Triyono appreciated BPJS Kesehatan’s initiative in establishing health service posts at major transportation hubs. According to him, public services for the community should be a priority, particularly for homecoming travellers using bus transport at Purabaya Terminal, Bungurasih, Sidoarjo.

“We hope the public travelling homeward can utilise this service, whether for minor health checks, consultations, or emergency care,” he said.

BPJS Kesehatan also advised homecoming travellers to maintain their health condition throughout their journey. Should JKN participants encounter difficulties accessing healthcare services, the public can utilise various complaint service channels that have been provided, such as the Mobile JKN application, Administration Service via WhatsApp (PANDAWA) at number 08118165165, and BPJS Kesehatan Care Center 165.

With the presence of these posts, BPJS Kesehatan hopes the public can undertake their homecoming journey more safely and comfortably whilst continuing to receive guaranteed access to healthcare services throughout their journey and in their destination areas.
