BPJS Health Establishes Free Mudik Posts at Eight Strategic Locations
Jakarta (ANTARA) – BPJS Kesehatan has established Mudik Posts at eight strategic locations from 13–18 March 2026 to provide health services and information about the National Health Insurance Programme (JKN) for homebound travellers during the Lebaran holiday journey.
Abdi Kurniawan Purba, Director of Health Service Guarantees at BPJS Kesehatan, stated that travellers can utilise these services free of charge, ranging from health consultations to simple emergency medical procedures.
“Homebound travellers can access these services at BPJS Kesehatan Mudik Posts from 13 to 18 March 2026, located at several high-traffic traveller points,” Abdi said whilst inaugurating the Mudik Post at Merak Port, Banten, on Friday.
The eight locations are:
Merak Port, Banten
Pulo Gebang Terminal, East Jakarta
Cipularang Toll Rest Area Km 88A, Purwakarta
Cipali Toll Rest Area Km 166A, Majalengka
Ungaran Toll Rest Area Km 429, Semarang
Masaran Toll Rest Area Km 519A, Sragen
Purabaya Terminal, Sidoarjo
Soekarno-Hatta Port, Makassar
According to Abdi, the mudik posts also provide relaxation facilities, basic medicines, health checks and medical referrals where necessary.
In addition to post services, BPJS Kesehatan will continue to offer membership administration services in person at branch offices on 18, 20, 23 and 24 March 2026 from 08.00–13.30 local time.
He added that JKN participants can continue to access healthcare whilst away from their home area through the JKN programme’s portability principle, allowing them to seek treatment at health centres, clinics or private doctors partnering with BPJS Kesehatan if their registered facility is closed or they are outside their service area.
In emergencies, participants can proceed directly to the nearest hospital without requiring a referral first.
Information about healthcare facilities operating during the Lebaran holiday break can be accessed through the Mobile JKN application, whilst service complaints can be submitted through the application, the PANDAWA WhatsApp service at 08118165165, or the BPJS Kesehatan Care Centre 165.
On the same occasion, Banten Deputy Governor Dimyati Natakusumah welcomed the establishment of the BPJS Kesehatan Mudik Post as a demonstration of service support for the public during the Lebaran homebound travel period.
According to him, coordination between public service agencies is necessary to ensure various public needs during the mudik period can be served quickly, easily and responsively.
