Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Head of the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Body (BPH Migas), Wahyudi Anas, has stated that there are currently no plans to restrict the purchase of subsidised fuel oil (BBM), including Biosolar and Pertalite, as they are still awaiting government instructions. “Until now, fuel purchases are normal, whether subsidised and compensated (Pertalite) by the state, including other general fuel types; there are no restrictions or adjustments,” Wahyudi said when met at the BPH Migas office in Jakarta on Tuesday. Therefore, Wahyudi has asked the public to be patient and wait for the regulations to be announced by the government. “As implementers assisting the government, we will wait for all commands,” Wahyudi added. The statement responds to the circulation of Decree (SK) of the Head of the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Body of the Republic of Indonesia Number 024/KOM/BPH.DBBM/2026. The decree concerns the control of the distribution of certain types of fuel oil, specifically biosolar and the special assignment fuel oil type RON 90 petrol (Pertalite), by the assigned business entity (Pertamina) for motor vehicle transportation for passenger and/or goods transport. The SK outlines plans to restrict Pertalite purchases, with a maximum of 50 litres per day per vehicle for private/public four-wheeled motor vehicles used for passenger and/or goods transport. Similar restrictions apply to motor vehicles for public services, such as ambulances, hearses, fire engines, and garbage trucks. Additionally, the SK includes restrictions on biosolar at a maximum of 50 litres per day per vehicle for private four-wheeled motor vehicles for passenger and/or goods transport. The same provisions apply to motor vehicles for public services, such as ambulances, hearses, fire engines, and garbage trucks. Furthermore, biosolar restrictions of 80 litres per day per vehicle apply to public four-wheeled motor vehicles for passenger and/or goods transport. Lastly, biosolar purchase restrictions of a maximum of 200 litres per day per vehicle for public motor vehicles with six or more wheels for passenger and/or goods transport.
