Jakarta, VIVA – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI posted an impressive transaction banking performance through December 2025. This achievement was underpinned by growth in digital transactions across the retail segment, business customers, and the payments ecosystem. The strengthening underscores BRI’s ability to manage cross-segment transaction activity while fortifying the funding structure through low-cost funds.

This was disclosed by BRI President Director Hery Gunardi at the press conference on BRI’s Triwulan IV 2025 Financial Performance on Thursday, 26 February in Jakarta.

‘As part of the BRIVolution Reignite transformation, BRI is transforming its Funding Franchise to strengthen the company’s funding structure so that it becomes more efficient, stable, and based on cheap funds. The two strategies being pursued are strengthening cheap funds and enhancing capabilities in the field of transaction banking. BRI is accelerating CASA growth through optimisation of digital channels (BRImo, BRILink, QRIS) and increased penetration of business clusters. Meanwhile, in the retail segment, strengthening focuses on developing the SuperApp BRImo and the payments ecosystem,’ Hery said.

Increased retail transaction activity on BRI’s digital channels is reflected in growth in users and transactions through BRImo. By December 2025, BRImo users stood at 45.9 million, up 18.9% YoY, with transaction value reaching Rp7,076.9 trillion, up 26.4% YoY.

For the middle, commercial and corporate segments, BRI continues to strengthen transaction banking services for cash management and end-to-end transactions through Qlola. As of December 2025, active Qlola users reached 113.0 thousand, up 48.1% YoY, in line with sales volume rising 36.2% YoY to Rp13,456 trillion.

The company also continued to expand merchant acceptance payments. This contributed to merchant sales volume rising 48.1% YoY to Rp223.2 trillion. For QRIS, BRI also shows the same trend, sales volume up 100% YoY to Rp85.6 trillion, while the number of transactions grew 127.5% YoY to more than 782.8 billion transactions.

Hery added that BRI will continue to develop transaction banking capabilities through strengthening the digital platform and enhancing merchant services for sustainable cheap-fund growth.

‘This achievement confirms that the BRIVolution Reignite transformation underway not only strengthens the base of cheap funds but also expands an inclusive digital payments ecosystem for all segments of society,’ he concluded.
