Bogor Regency — Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto has built a total of 516.83 kilometres of roads during his first year in office alongside Deputy Regent Ade Ruhandi.

Bogor Regency Secretary Ajat Rochmat Jatnika said the road construction carried out throughout 2025 was the regional government's top priority, aimed at promoting equitable development and improving accessibility for communities across 40 sub-districts.

"A total of 516.83 kilometres of roads were built through the regional budget and village financial assistance. Infrastructure is the foundation of equitable development in Bogor Regency," Ajat said in Cibinong, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Tuesday.

Of the total, the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency carried out construction and reconstruction of 80.54 kilometres of road, comprising 3.03 kilometres of new construction and 77.54 kilometres of reconstruction. Meanwhile, through village financial assistance, road construction reached 435.29 kilometres, encompassing 9.9 kilometres of upgrades, 190.2 kilometres of concrete paving, and 235.1 kilometres of asphalting.

In addition to roads, the regional government also built and upgraded 499 metres of bridges, reinforced 20.08 kilometres of drainage, and constructed 34.89 kilometres of retaining walls.

As an example, Regent Rudy reallocated Rp104 billion to repair a total of 13 road sections in the Parungpanjang, Gunungsindur, Rumpin, and Cigudeg areas. Seven vital road sections connecting to provincial roads and the Tangerang border were prioritised for concrete paving in 2025.

The repaired sections include the Pingku–Kampung Asem Kuda road, Caringin–Cilaketan–Parungpanjang road, Lumpang–Cikuda road, Prumpung–Gunungsindur–Cicangkal road, Cicangkal–Maloko road, Kampung Sawah–Janala road, and Janala–Lebakwangi road.

In the Nanggung area, the regional government also reallocated approximately Rp20 billion to build the 18.5-kilometre Nirmala Road in Malasari Village, which had never been reached by development since before independence.

The construction of Nirmala Road was carried out through a military community service mechanism in cooperation with Military District Command 0621 and Military Resort Command 061 to accelerate implementation without lengthy procurement processes. By mid-July 2025, approximately 20 per cent of the road had been completed.

Infrastructure development was not only focused on urban areas but also reached remote and border regions as part of the commitment to delivering equitable and sustainable development, Ajat affirmed.

Beyond roads, the regional government also rehabilitated 3,406 uninhabitable housing units and built 400 permanent housing units in 2025 as part of strengthening basic infrastructure and alleviating poverty.

Ajat said these achievements reflected the first year of the Rudy–Ade administration in accelerating physical development whilst opening up economic access for communities across various parts of Bogor Regency.
