Bogor Regency's National Health Insurance Coverage Reaches 97.9 Per Cent
Bogor Regency — The Bogor Regency administration has reported that National Health Insurance (JKN) membership coverage in the district reached 97.9 per cent throughout 2025.
Bogor Regency Secretary Ajat Rochmat Jatnika said in Cibinong on Friday that the achievement demonstrated the local government's strengthened commitment to approaching the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) target for the community.
"In one year under the leadership of Regent Rudy Susmanto and Deputy Regent Ade Ruhandi, JKN coverage in Bogor Regency has reached approximately 97.9 per cent. This shows the local government's efforts to expand access to fair and equitable healthcare services," Ajat said.
He explained that the increase in membership was achieved through synergy between the Bogor Regency Government and BPJS Kesehatan, including the strengthening of subsidised contribution recipient (PBI) membership and regional budget support to maintain the sustainability of health programmes.
Beyond expanding membership, the local government has also strengthened healthcare services by improving referral facilities and emergency services. One such initiative was the upgrading of Parung Clinic to Parung Primary Inpatient Clinic (KURI), which is now equipped with 24-hour emergency department services and inpatient facilities.
Ajat said the presence of KURI Parung serves as a strategic solution to bring healthcare services closer to communities in the northern part of Bogor Regency whilst reducing the burden on referral hospitals.
Service improvements have also been carried out at three regional general hospitals, namely RSUD Dr KH Idham Chalid Cibinong, RSUD R Moh Noh Nur Leuwiliang, and RSUD Ciawi, particularly in their emergency department services.
"Improvements have been made ranging from reorganising service flows, implementing emergency triage systems, to upgrading infrastructure and healthcare human resources," he said.
According to Ajat, these measures form part of the local government's efforts to deliver faster, more responsive healthcare services oriented towards patient safety.
He added that although JKN coverage has approached the UHC target, the local government continues to face challenges related to participant activity rates and service sustainability.
"Going forward, we will continue to push for improvements in healthcare service quality so that the benefits are truly felt by the community," he said.
The healthcare sector achievements form part of a reflection on one year of the Rudy-Ade administration's leadership in strengthening basic services for the people of Bogor Regency.
