Bogor Regency (ANTARA) — An Indonesian Political Indicator survey has revealed that the majority of residents in Bogor Regency, West Java, are satisfied with the performance of the Bogor Regency Government over the past year, despite economic issues remaining a key concern for the public.

Bawono Kumoro, a researcher at Indonesian Political Indicator, stated that public satisfaction with the performance of Regent Rudy Susmanto reached 80.3 per cent, whilst satisfaction with Deputy Regent Ade Ruhandi stood at 79.3 per cent, based on a survey conducted between 6-11 February 2026.

“Overall, public evaluation of government implementation in Bogor Regency is viewed positively, particularly in governance and security aspects,” said Bawono during a presentation of the survey results assessing one year of Bogor Regency’s administration in Cibinong on Sunday.

The survey was conducted among 410 respondents selected through multistage random sampling methodology with a margin of error of approximately 4.9 per cent and a confidence level of 95 per cent. Interviews were conducted face-to-face and included quality control processes through spot checks on 20 per cent of the sample.

Survey results indicated that 64.6 per cent of respondents assessed government implementation in Bogor Regency to be in the good or very good category. Additionally, security conditions also received positive evaluation, with 63.6 per cent of respondents rating them as good or very good.

Nevertheless, the economic aspect remains a concern for residents. Some 50.2 per cent of respondents assessed the regional economic conditions to be in the moderate category, whilst other residents reported having not experienced significant change compared to the previous year.

According to the survey findings, the most pressing issue felt by residents is difficulty in finding employment opportunities, cited by 40.3 per cent of respondents. Other complaints include expensive basic necessities at 24 per cent and poor road conditions at 11.2 per cent.

Bawono explained that the high level of satisfaction with regional leadership could serve as a positive foundation for future governance, but must be balanced with efforts to address public expectations, particularly in the economic and employment sectors.

He noted that the survey results demonstrate positive perception regarding the direction of regional government, but the public is sending a strong signal for the government to focus on economic issues that are directly felt at the household level.

Beyond regional governance aspects, the survey also noted that the majority of residents assessed law enforcement conditions in Bogor Regency as reasonably good, and viewed the regional government as relatively free from corruption and bribery practices.

This public evaluation survey was conducted as part of measuring public perception of regional government performance after one year of administration, whilst also serving as an initial picture of challenges that must be addressed in the subsequent period.
