The Bogor Regency Environmental Agency (DLH) has sealed an illegal wild waste disposal site in Kembang Kuning Village, Klapanunggal Subdistrict. The sealing was carried out as an effort to maintain environmental cleanliness and prevent negative impacts from illegal waste disposal activities.

“Alhamdulillah, today we have completed the installation of activity cessation signs by PPNS regarding the illegal waste processing located in Kembang Kuning Village, Klapanunggal Subdistrict,” said the Head of the Waste Management Division of the Bogor Regency DLH, Agus Budi, on Wednesday (8/4/2026).

According to him, the location had long been used as a waste processing and disposal site without permission, posing a risk of polluting the surrounding environment.

“The DLH team once tried to meet the manager of the location, but the person in question was not present,” he explained.

Agus said that there would be a summons from the DLH law enforcement team to follow up on the matter. The manager of the illegal waste disposal site was urged to immediately cease operations.

“We hope that the managers of illegal landfills in the Kembang Kuning area can stop their activities, as this activity is highly damaging to the environment and detrimental to the surrounding community. If it continues, we will file a report regarding the illegal waste processing activity,” he emphasised.

Meanwhile, the Klapanunggal Subdistrict Head, Galuh Sri Wahyuni, stated that her office would continue to cooperate with DLH, including determining the future of the illegal waste disposal site.

“We will work together with the Bogor Regency Environmental Agency to decide whether this location will only be cleaned up or can be developed into a more organised waste processing site,” she said.
