Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia’s National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) strengthened synergy in public services during an audience and study visit in Jakarta on Tuesday (28/4). Acting Chief Inspector of BNN RI, Dicky Kusumawardhana, explained that BNN’s public service achievements are inseparable from the strategic role of leadership in organisation and solid collaboration among work units. “In addition, building a shared understanding of the importance of public services has also been key in driving performance improvements,” Dicky stated on that occasion, as quoted from a confirmed statement in Jakarta on Monday. For this reason, he said the audience and study visit activity serves as an important momentum to strengthen inter-agency synergy in enhancing the quality of public services. BNN has recorded positive achievements in bureaucratic reform. The bureaucracy reform index in 2024 reached 82.47 and improved to 84.37 in 2025, marking the highest achievement since 2016. Dicky noted that several public service indicators have also received very good ratings, including the follow-up rate on public complaints, public service index, compliance with service standards, and public satisfaction surveys. Nevertheless, he emphasised that these achievements are not the final goal but part of an ongoing process to continuously improve the quality of public services. Meanwhile, LPSK representative Enteng Mundiati stated that the visit aims to conduct a study visit in preparation for the public service assessment by the RI Ombudsman in 2026. She revealed that LPSK has not previously been the focus of the Ombudsman’s audit, thus requiring in-depth study of the assessment mechanisms and strategies employed by agencies that have achieved good results, such as BNN. “We hope to gain learning and in-depth insights regarding the RI Ombudsman’s assessment mechanisms, as well as the strategies implemented by BNN in preparing high-quality public services,” Enteng said on the same occasion. LPSK also expressed hope to follow in BNN’s footsteps in achieving the best public service assessment and to open opportunities for closer cooperation between the two agencies in the future. Through this activity, it is hoped that knowledge sharing and strengthened synergy among agencies will be established to realise increasingly optimal and responsive public services to meet societal needs.
