BNN and BKN Strengthen National Civil Servants' Resilience Against Drug Threats
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of the Republic of Indonesia, together with the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) of the Republic of Indonesia, strengthened the resilience of state apparatus against drug threats through an audience in Jakarta, Tuesday (24/2).
The Head of BNN RI, Commissioner General Suyudi Ario Seto, appreciated the support and cooperation of BKN in supporting the national agenda for drug prevention.
“We would like to thank and appreciate BKN for the support and cooperation that has been established,” said Suyudi, as quoted from a statement confirmed in Jakarta, Wednesday.
He also conveyed a number of collaborations that have been built by BNN with ministries/agencies in strengthening the nation’s defense against drug threats, such as the integration of anti-drug curricula with the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen).
This step is part of the National Anti-Narcotics Action starting from Clean Children from Narcotics (ANANDA BERSINAR).
Suyudi emphasized that efforts to strengthen the nation’s immunity from drug threats continue to be expanded, including in the environment of state apparatus.
For this reason, the audience with BKN RI discussed strengthening synergy in the prevention and supervision of drug abuse for state civil servants (ASN).
In response to the explanation of the Head of BNN RI, the Head of BKN RI, Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, expressed the hope that both parties could collaborate in strengthening the prevention and supervision of state apparatus from drug abuse in the future.
He emphasized the importance of drug prevention in the ASN environment through socialization and early detection of drug abuse with urine tests for ASN which are carried out without prior notice.
“Drug prevention among ASN must be strengthened because the impact can disrupt the performance and lives of ASN,” said Zudan.
Furthermore, he explained that BKN has a talent management system and a database of prospective officials to ensure the placement of appropriate and integrity-based leaders, including those who are free from drugs.
It was mentioned that this is part of a shared commitment to building a healthy and professional bureaucracy to support the sustainability of national development.
