BNI traveler's cheques

JAKARTA (JP): Publicly listed Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI)
yesterday launched rupiah traveler's cheques which can also be
used as vouchers.

When launching the cheques, BNI president Widigdo Sukarman
said both local and foreign tourists could buy and cash the
cheques at all BNI branches and other appointed places.

BNI traveler's cheques are issued in nine different
denominations, from Rp 50,000 (US$20.50) to Rp 25 million.

Consumers can choose crossed or transferable traveler's
cheques. (rid)
