BNI Hosts Ramadan Safari 2026, Distributes 80,000 Food Packages
BNI, the state-owned PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, has again organised the Ramadan Safari 2026 programme across more than 10 cities in Indonesia as part of its annual charitable activities during the holy month. Through this programme, BNI will distribute around 80,000 food packages as well as donations to orphans and the underprivileged.
Corporate Secretary BNI Okki Rushartomo said the Ramadan Safari activities for this year began simultaneously on Tuesday, 3 March 2026, in Batam, Bandung, Semarang, and Yogyakarta. The events were attended by BNI’s board of directors, who interacted directly with the orphans and local communities around the venues.
‘The Ramadan Safari programme is a manifestation of BNI’s commitment to remain present in society, not only through banking services but also through social activities that deliver tangible benefits, especially for orphans and those in need,’ Okki said.
In its implementation, each regional area will provide donations and parcels to around 100 orphans and the underprivileged, as well as donations for five accompanying persons in each region. The Ramadan Safari series then continued on Friday, 6 March 2026, in Denpasar, Manado, and Jayapura.
The programme is also scheduled to take place in Jakarta on Tuesday, 10 March 2026, followed by Malang, Medan, and Surabaya on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, and in Banjarmasin, Palembang, and Makassar on Friday, 13 March 2026.
Okki explained that the culmination of the Ramadan Safari will be attended in person by BNI’s President Director Putrama Wahju Setyawan along with the boards, directors, and senior executive vice presidents during the Nuzul al-Qur’an commemorations held in Jakarta.
In carrying out the programme, BNI is also cooperating with regional offices and branches nationwide as well as strategic partners such as Agen46 and BNI customers to ensure that social assistance is delivered to the intended recipients. ‘Through the Ramadan Safari 2026 programme, BNI hopes to strengthen the sense of togetherness while delivering tangible benefits for people in need during the holy month,’ Okki said.
The programme also underscores BNI’s commitment as a state-owned enterprise that is not only focused on banking services but also actively contributes to improving social welfare and strengthening ties with communities across the country.
