BNI Holds Ramadan Safari, Distributes 80,000 Food Packages in 10 Cities
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) has again organised its Ramadan Safari programme for 2026 across more than 10 cities in Indonesia as part of the group’s annual social activities during the holy month. The programme will distribute around 80,000 food packages as well as charitable assistance to orphans and those in need. BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said the Ramadan Safari series of activities this year began simultaneously on Tuesday, 3 March 2026, in Batam, Bandung, Semarang and Yogyakarta. The events were attended by members of the board of directors who interacted directly with the orphans and local communities around the venues. ‘The Ramadan Safari programme embodies BNI’s commitment to remain present in the community, not only through banking services but also through social activities that provide tangible benefits, especially for orphans and those in need,’ Okki said in a written statement cited on Friday, 6 March 2026. In implementation, each Safari Ramadan region will provide donations and gifts to around 100 orphans and the needy (‘kaum duafa’), plus support for five accompanying persons in each region. The Ramadan Safari series will continue on Friday, 6 March 2026, with events in Denpasar, Manado and Jayapura. The programme will also visit Jakarta on Tuesday, 10 March 2026, followed by Malang, Medan and Surabaya on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, and Banjarmasin, Palembang and Makassar on Friday, 13 March 2026. Okki added that the peak of the Ramadan Safari will be attended in person by BNI’s President Director, Putrama Wahju Setyawan, together with the commissioners, directors and the Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) at the Nuzulul Quran commemoration held in Jakarta. BNI has also partnered with regional offices and branches across Indonesia, as well as strategic partners such as Agen46 and BNI customers, to ensure social assistance is distributed accurately. Through Ramadan Safari 2026, BNI hopes to strengthen the value of togetherness while delivering tangible benefits to those in need during the holy month,’ Okki concluded. ‘This programme also underscores BNI’s commitment as a state-owned enterprise that is not solely focused on banking services but is also actively contributing to improving social welfare and strengthening ties with communities across the country,’ he added.
